New Work Friday - Blossoms and Robins Tree Painting

The painting in this post is one that I created earlier as a tree with only blossoming branches against a textured sky blue background. You can see how it looked before.

It seemed to be too stagnate, void of activity. Before long a lively little robin family resided amongst the blossoms with the help of my paintbrush.

In this detail photo one robin is keeping watch over a nest with blue eggs.

There are pieces of old maps peeking through layers of paint. And if you look closely you can see puffy cloud shapes etched into the background surface.

I like to think of the blossoms as a symbol of life renewing, trees represent harmony and unity with nature and all living things. Birds stand for family, love and freedom.

There are so many ways to look at nature and what it stands for. You may have your own version of what a tree or bird represents. Let me see your thoughts in the comment section below.
