Friday Five iPhotos
A new weekly series...My new hobby.....just can't get enough of playing around with the iPhone app, Instagram. I really do think it has helped to improve my photo taking skills. So to inspire you to get out there and snap your camera more often...here are 5 picks from last week:
Muddy paw prints on the window...Georgie being Georgie.
The most unusual thing happened the other day, the sun popped out long enough to see my own shadow, for the first time in a long time! Are you looking forward to spring as much as I am?
Found this sweet little treasure while antiquing in the country town of Silverton last weekend. It reminds me of the same candy dish style my grandma B used to keep on her coffee table growing up. To a little kid it was always a treat to find delicious candies hidden under the big ceramic rose lid.
If live in the Portland area, you still have time to see the exhibit, Twelve Award Winning Watermedia Artists, until March 24th. It's more than an honor to be included with this very fine group of talented artists. Here is an earlier post about the show.
The photo quality on this shot wasn't the greatest so I ran it through Snapseed to give it a faded grunge look. It became a little more interesting and mysterious than the original.
King Crow, benevolent messenger, doesn't take himself too seriously and is not afraid to be different. This is a collaboration painting (detail) between us three, Dave Andersen, Erica Hanson and me. It is hanging at Singer Hill Cafe in Oregon City through April or until someone makes it their own. Online prints are available in a variety of surfaces and sizes.
If you Instagram, tell me about in the comments below. Here is whole collection.
