Inside Looking Out

This is the view from our horse barn looking out at the tree field below. Erica is holding Zoey, our inside kitty, who wishes for just one day to be an outside barn cat. I can see it in her eyes, she dreams of catching mice in dark corners and rolling luxuriously in the soft hay piled in the manager.

One of the most calming meditative things to do is taking time to watch a horse as he munches on his hay. He savors every bite. It's like staring into a campfire on a cold night or breathing in the scent of a fresh picked rose. Do you know what I mean? Bliss
