Remember the painting I blogged about back in September that was chosen by nationally known artist and juror Robbie Laird for the Watercolor Society of Oregon's Fall Show? The convention was held this last weekend and to my very pleasant surprise, my painting won 2nd place!
Finding out for the first time there was a red ribbonhanging next my painting!
What fun! The banquet was held in at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, OR, which a must see for anyone visiting Oregon. It is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley's wine country and just happens to be the home of Howard Hughes' famous Spruce Goose.
The paintings will be on exhibition at the museum through the end of October. You will not be disappointed. This show of 80 paintings is full of a group of very talented artists and I'm so very honored to be a small part of it.
