Here is the newest addition from the Tree of Life Series. This background was so fun to do! I wanted it to look aged like an old photograph. There is a blue green undercoating, than metallic copper and gold is painted over. I love the way the undercoating shows through. The tree and birds were painted on, then the finishing touch was to add a burnt umber border to it. My inspiration for the flowers came from Klimt's background patterns. He liked to use the very interesting shape of a square with a circle and dot inside.
