In the Fast Lane

"In the Fast Lane" 18x14" Acrylic on Canvas
It is one of those paintings that took on a life of it's own. I held on to the brush and just went along for the ride. Kept splashing around in the paint until it felt right. My guidance came from Donna Zagotta's words, "Do you love it?" When I finally stepped back and agreed that yes, as a matter of fact I did love it, then I knew I was finished. So for now I love it. If it hangs around my studio for any length of time I may end up changing it. Contemporary artist Paul Gardner's words are so true when he stated, "A painting is never finished – it simply stops in interesting places." For now this is good place to stop.
Just in case you are interested in giving this work of art a new home, it can be yours.
