Holiday Season on Our Farm
From Thanksgiving until a few days before Christmas, I put away my paints and brushes to help with our U cut Christmas tree farm, Victorhill Farm. The art studio is transformed into a wreath and gift shop where we sell wreaths and ornaments. A scent of pine and cedar fills the air from the wreaths as we make them. Every year families from all around the Portland area come to our farm to select their holiday tree. It's such a happy time of year and all who show up here are ready for a tree cutting adventure in the fresh country air and plenty of good times. We are now closed for the season, so I finally have time to show you some of the highlights over the last few weeks.
Woodland ornaments are mixed with artwork on the walls.
Georgie Christmas greets guests at the counter. He loves this time of year the best.
Me at the gift shop counter. Have you learned how to arm knit yet? Recently I learned how ... and it's so fun and easy! Here's a video how to. and here's a link to the pattern I used to make the above scarf.
On a rainy day inside the gift shop. This display includes Blenda Studio prints, Post Haste Art, and vintage ornaments and vintage greeting card garland. In the next post I'll show you outside the shop where the trees are.
